Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance do I need to book?

For weddings, the earlier the better!  We know the planning process begins early when preparing for the special event.  Please contact us to hold your date.

Will you be using a film or digital camera?

We will be using professional quality digital equipment.
 
What are the advantages of using digital cameras over film cameras?

There are many advantages in using DIGITAL cameras over film cameras.  One of the most important advantages is there is no limits on the number of shots we can take for you.  There’s no stopping to change film.  You can easily see your proofs on-line.  You will receive all of your photos on a CD.  Your guests can review and order all the photos on-line. It gives us more creative options not only in shooting, but in digital post-production as well.

How long do you stay with us on the wedding day?

You decide when designing your package. We will work with you to determine how much time is needed to ensure you get the photos you want.

How many photographs will be taken on the day, and how many will we get?

There is no fixed number for either and no limits. Generally for a full wedding package, we take 500-700 photos, which we edit down to about 200 or more for your final proofs. 

Do you take formal group shots as well as candids?

Yes, we do both.  If you want a classically shot wedding with numerous formal poses we can provide this service. We suggest you have someone assigned beforehand to help gather the necessary family members and guests to help speed things along.

Do you take requests from our friends or family?

Yes, at any point in the day, if you or any of your guests would like a certain shot, we will be happy to accomodate them.

How do I get my proofs?

You will be able to see your proofs on our website.   In addition to the on-line proofs, we will send you a CD of all of your images.

What is the first step in hiring you?

The first step in hiring us is to e-mail us your name, date and location of your wedding or special event.  If we are available on that date, we will set up a pre-event consultation to see if we are able to accommodate your needs. This can be done in person, on the phone, or by e-mail.  NOTE:  There is no obligation by you to hire us when having the consultation.  It is simply to determine if our style matches your needs.

Do you require a deposit?

Once you have decided to hire us, we do require a retainer to hold your date for you.  This retainer is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.  The amount of the retainer is 30% of your package, with the balance of your payment due 3 weeks before your wedding day.
